Between all that C-N’s campus and beautiful East Tennessee has to offer, there’s always an awesome time just around the corner. You’ll have an extensive recreational network at your fingertips and, with our community-oriented culture, someone’s always up for a friendly competition on the court or the field.
Your headquarters for all things activity-related on campus is the 96,000-square-foot Maddox Student Activity Center (MSAC). Featuring three full-size gyms, an indoor running track, game rooms, weight, cardio and gymnastics rooms, and a swimming pool, you’ll have plenty of fitness options. The MSAC is also home to the bookstore, The Pod (the campus market), and Chick-fil-A.
INTRAMURALS
Intramural culture is strong at C-N, and we aim for variety—good thing you don’t have to pick just one! Choose from the classics like basketball, flag football, and ultimate Frisbee, or go with something a little more non-traditional like e-gaming, wiffleball, or cornhole. There’s something for everyone and you don’t have to be an athlete to participate in the fun.
REC SERVICES TRIPS
Want to explore the great outdoors? You’ll be able to go hiking, biking, whitewater rafting, ziplining or even snow skiing through scenic Tennessee. The Great Smoky Mountains are only 40 minutes from campus and C-N Recreational Services regularly plans unforgettable trips for students. Adventure awaits!
